In Memory of Werner Zehnder
1949-2025

Werner Zehnder passed away peacefully at home on September 5.

His passing leaves a hole in our hearts and our community. Werner gave of his time, energy, and resources to create environments where people could get together and enjoy socializing and engaging in physical and mental activity. In doing so, he contributed to the health and well-being of the many pickleball enthusiasts who live in and visit the area. He was a great friend and a visionary leader with charm, charisma, and a terrific sense of humor. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy with his many contributions to Bend Pickleball Club and the community. His spirit will remain with us as we enjoy the fruits of his efforts. Rest in peace, Werner.

We will keep you apprised of any plans for services.

Thank you for all you have done for pickleball. You took a chance on a dream and created a wonderful environment where friends and family come together and play this crazy game of pickleball we all love. So many laughs, so many friendships. My husband and I got to play a couple games with you. Your smile, your encouragement, your laugh, I will remember always and when I walk through the doors of PZ , I will smile as I think of you and the legacy you left to this community. Thank you.
