In Memory of Werner Zehnder

In Memory of Werner Zehnder
1949-2025

Werner Zehnder passed away peacefully at home on September 5.

His passing leaves a hole in our hearts and our community. Werner gave of his time, energy, and resources to create environments where people could get together and enjoy socializing and engaging in physical and mental activity. In doing so, he contributed to the health and well-being of the many pickleball enthusiasts who live in and visit the area. He was a great friend and a visionary leader with charm, charisma, and a terrific sense of humor. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy with his many contributions to Bend Pickleball Club and the community. His spirit will remain with us as we enjoy the fruits of his efforts. Rest in peace, Werner.

We will keep you apprised of any plans for services.

Kirk Foster, President
Bend Pickleball Club

I met Verner at Pine Nursery when there was only the one PB Ct....Then he built the others and the Pine Nursery was filled with new PB players almost all day long....none of us could get enough of this great new sport!!!!! Werner taught us all and inspired all of us to learn the game and play it well. I met so many likeminded people and today have sooo many friends from this game. God Bless and keep you Werner .You are in all our hearts forever. Thank you for introducing to me to PB that has been such a big part of my life. Carol Osgood
