In Memory of Werner Zehnder
1949-2025

Werner Zehnder passed away peacefully at home on September 5.

His passing leaves a hole in our hearts and our community. Werner gave of his time, energy, and resources to create environments where people could get together and enjoy socializing and engaging in physical and mental activity. In doing so, he contributed to the health and well-being of the many pickleball enthusiasts who live in and visit the area. He was a great friend and a visionary leader with charm, charisma, and a terrific sense of humor. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy with his many contributions to Bend Pickleball Club and the community. His spirit will remain with us as we enjoy the fruits of his efforts. Rest in peace, Werner.

Thank You Werner for your love of people, pickleball, and a good laugh. Your spirit will play on everyday I am lucky enough to get to play with some of the greatest life long friends I have met because you took a chance building a" court (s) of dreams" for so many. I wish I could have had one more "kidding" you so freely gave. Grateful for knowing you friend, Kristy Raasch
